At our final team meeting on June 3, we were asked to pick a Bible verse or prayer to guide us on our journey. Here are a few of our choices:
Carly Campbell
"But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, Jacob, and formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine. When you pass through waters, I will be with you; through rivers, you shall not be swept away. When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, nor will flames consume you. For I, the Lord, am your God, the Holy One of Israel, your savior. I give Egypt as ransom for you, Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes and honored, and I love you." Isaiah 43:1-4
Lynda Clark
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?" Matthew 6:25-27
Peyton Clark
"So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit." Ephesians 2: 19-22
Frances Hardaway

The Book of Common Prayer

"Breathe in peace. Breathe out praise."

"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails." 1 Cor. 13:4-8
Emma Kate Potter
"Suppose I had wings like the dawning day and flew across the ocean. Even then your powerful arm would guide and protect me."Psalm 139:9-10
Jessica Putman
"He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." Psalm 91:11
Sharon Putman
"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit" 1 Cor. 12: 12-13
Gordon Shell
